Trudy Turk Coleman gently passed away in Phoenix on Thursday, December 13th after a long struggle with illness. She was born Gertrude Emma Turk in Nardin, Oklahoma January 26, 1920 to Emma and Waldo Turk and raised in various locations in northern Oklahoma. She met and married Jack Coleman in 1946 in Oklahoma City. They celebrated 61 years of marriage this last June. Trudy is survived by her husband Jack, her sister Pauline Dent, her daughters Linda Heyman and Charlotte Babcock and their spouses, her grandchildren Andy Heyman, Matt Heyman, Emma Clark and Martha DeLisa and their spouses, and her great grandchildren, Josie Heyman, Adam Heyman, Damien DeLisa, and Anne Clark. She was a life long member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, currently a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church whose members lovingly ministered to her needs during the 20 years she and her husband lived retired here in Phoenix. Before that they lived in Denver, Colorado for 40 years where both Trudy and her husband worked as accountants in their own business. Trudy was also an avid homemaker, especially enjoying sewing, crocheting and cooking. She was a musician and loved to play the piano, the organ and to sing. Please join us in a celebration of her life on Monday, December 17th at 10:00 am in the chapel at the Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St, Phoenix, AZ 85014. The Arizona Republic Phoenix, Arizona
